Fir Lane, Gravelhole  and Trinity Methodist Churches united to form The Methodist Church in Royton, with a joint Church Council on 1st September 2024.

Gravelhole Methodist Church ceased worship in April 2025 with church members joining to worship at Trinity Methodist Church. Gravelhole Methodist Church building has since been sold.

The merger of the three church communities aims to strengthen mission, enhance worship and serve the community hub for fellowship and outreach in Royton.
